The following
obituary was published in the Sun-Sentinel on 8/25/2002
Scott G Slaughter lost a courageous battle with cancer, August
21, 2002 with his family at his side. Born in Charlotte, NC
February 8, 1937. Scott retired from the U.S. Navy after 28
years as a UDT Seal. Survived by his loving wife Judith B.,
daughter Heather Wolff and her husband Joe, brother Phillip,
his wife Heriko of El Cajon, CA, Mark of Raleigh, NC, and several
nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held
at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the UDT-SEAL
Museum Association 3300 N State Road A1A, Fort Pierce, FL 34949.
Scott graduated in Class 26 Little Creek in November 1961 and
was a Legend Frogman. He will be cremated, and his ashes spread
in a small private ceremony off of the coast of Florida. There
will be no public memorial service per his wishes. Condolences
